Hong Kong Events - October 2027
October is the pay-off month: the humidity breaks, the sky clears and the daytime temperature settles into the comfortable mid-twenties. If you are visiting to walk the city rather than to chase a concert, this is the month to come.
National Day opens the month and brings the harbour fireworks, which the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade watches better than anywhere. Chung Yeung, a week later, is the traditional hiking holiday — and the best two weeks of the year for the Golden Mile on foot.

💡 Practical Notes
- Fireworks night: the TST promenade fills hours before the display — arrive early, expect crowd control, and use the MTR rather than a taxi.
- Best walking month: cool, dry and clear — the ideal time for the walking tour of the Golden Mile and the sights around it.
- Chung Yeung long weekend: hotels and trails both get busy — see hotels on Nathan Road.
