Hong Kong Events - November 2027

November is the driest, clearest month of the year in Kowloon — cool mornings, sunny afternoons and almost no rain. It is peak season for walking the city, and the month the festive lights begin to switch on.

The big citywide fixture is Hong Kong WinterFest, whose lights and installations usually switch on from 1 November and run through the New Year. The 2027–28 programme has not been posted, so treat the start date as the established pattern.

Why go: the switch-on marks the start of the season and the light displays down the Golden Mile run from here to the New Year — but check the organiser for the 2027–28 programme, which is not yet published.
