Hong Kong Events - June 2027

June is hot, humid and wet — the start of the typhoon season. The compensation is the harbour: this is the month the dragon boats come out, and the month the concerts move indoors or out to the stadiums.

Tuen Ng, the dragon boat festival, falls on 9 June, and the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront is the free front row. TOMORROW X TOGETHER play two nights later in the month, with the venue still to be announced.

Tuen Ng Festival (Dragon Boat Festival)

📅 Wednesday, 9 June 2027 · public holiday

The dragon boat festival, marked by races across the territory and by sticky-rice dumplings in every bakery. This one is a midweek holiday, so expect the crowds at the weekend races either side of it.

📍 Location: Hong Kong-wide

🎟️ Entry: free

TST International Dragon Boat Races

📅 expected early-to-mid June 2027 — race date not yet confirmed

The dragon boat races off the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade are an annual fixture on Victoria Harbour, usually staged around the Tuen Ng holiday. The 2027 race day has not been posted, so treat the window as a pattern rather than a date.

📍 Location: Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and Victoria Harbour

🎟️ Entry: free to watch from the promenade

🌐 More Information: Discover Hong Kong — Dragon Boat Festival

Why go: the drumming carries right across the harbour, and the promenade is where the city watches — but check the organiser before travelling, as the 2027 race date is not confirmed.

🎤 Concerts and Live Music

TOMORROW X TOGETHER — 'STEAL THE WIND'

📅 Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June 2027 · venue to be confirmed

Two nights in Hong Kong on the group's 2027 tour. The tour announcement named the dates but no venue, so the location is still to be announced — check the promoter's listing before you plan travel around it.

📍 Location: to be confirmed (venue not yet announced)

🎟️ Tickets: ticketed — check Live Nation for the on-sale date and venue

🌐 More Information: Live Nation Hong Kong

Why go: two nights rather than one is unusual for a Hong Kong stop, and the announcement is recent enough that the venue still may surprise.

💡 Practical Notes

  • Dragon boat month: the best free viewing is the Tsim Sha Tsui promenade and the Avenue of Stars; go early for a rail-side spot.
  • Rain and typhoons: June is one of the wettest months — see the weather page and keep indoor attractions and the museums as a fallback.
  • Venue to be confirmed: the TOMORROW X TOGETHER venue was not named at the time of writing — confirm it before booking flights or hotels.
  • Getting around: the MTR keeps you out of the rain; taxis are scarce in a downpour.

🔗 How to Keep Up

For the current line-up check HKTB Events at discoverhongkong.com, Time Out Hong Kong and the LCSD performing-arts e-calendar, plus URBTIX, Cityline and HK Ticketing. Anything described as not yet confirmed is an annual fixture or an unannounced venue — always check the organiser before travelling.
