Hong Kong Events - May 2027

May is late spring tipping into summer: warm, humid and increasingly wet, with two public holidays and the first of the big stadium concerts of the season.

Labour Day opens the month, Buddha's Birthday gives a long weekend in the middle, and Bruno Mars brings four nights to Kai Tak Stadium — the biggest pop booking of the Kowloon summer.

💡 Practical Notes

  • Bruno Mars nights: Kai Tak Stadium empties onto the Tuen Ma line all at once — check MTR arrangements and allow extra time.
  • Long weekend (13–16 May): one of the year's busiest for hotels and cross-border travel. See hotels on Nathan Road.
  • Summer starts here: humidity climbs and showers become the norm — see the weather page and keep an indoor fallback among the attractions.
